Sender IDs

The name your texts show, such as DUKA AMINA.

A sender ID is the name customers see as the sender of your texts, instead of a number. It helps them know the text is from you. Until you have one, texts go out under Goomzo's.

Before you start

Verify your business first. The networks need your certificate to approve a sender ID.

Request a sender ID

  1. In Engagement → Sender IDs, select Request sender ID.
  2. Enter the name: 3 to 11 letters, numbers, spaces or hyphens, starting with a letter. Your business name, or a short form of it, works best.
  3. Choose what you'll use it for: updates and reminders, orders and payments, offers and promotions, or one-time passwords.
  4. Describe what you'll send, in a sentence or two.
  5. Submit.

After you request

The mobile networks review each request. While it's In review, you can Withdraw it. We let you know when it's approved, or, with the reason, when it isn't.

Which sender ID your texts use

You choose it in From when you send. When a text doesn't name one, such as one sent through the API, Goomzo uses a sender ID approved for that kind of message, then any you have approved, then Goomzo's.
